The primary goals of 3 Bunnies are:

  • To rescue abandoned, unwanted, and abused rabbits without prejudice to age, gender, breed, type, or other issues; to provide foster care; to spay and neuter; to provide medical and rehabilitative care; to find permanent quality indoor homes for them;
  • To educate the public and assist humane societies, animal control officers, and other rescues, in teaching proper rabbit care to the public;
  • To reduce, primarily by public education, the number of rabbits abandoned at shelters and / or turned loose when no longer wanted.

This beautiful brown/chestnut colored Dutch mix is around 5 months old and approx 3-4lbs. Pippa was brought into one of the vets that work with 3 Bunnies by her former people because her back leg was misshapen and not being used. Xrays showed a severe break with the only options being amputation or euthanization. Found as a stray by people who raise rabbits for food, she was put in with other rabbits where she awaited her fate, only to escape, then have the people use their dogs to chase her down. Cupcake was part of a large group of strays captured in Stratford CT. They were little babies when caught, so 3 Bunnies put them together so they could comfort each other. An adorable grey Dwarf mix on the older side (6-8yrs), but full of life and love. Approx 3-4lbs. Einstein was taken in by an ACO shelter where they had some issues with cage aggression so 3 Bunnies took him in. Turns out Einstein is sight impaired and just did not know what was being done when people were handling him. Hi everyone, I am Einstein.
