Adopted February 17, 2006 by Brianna and Armando (the bun)!!
Hi everyone, I'm Sandi, and I'm an Angora about 4 years old.
I had a family once, but they treated me really badly. They didn't
take care of me at all, they never brushed me, and they weren't nice
to me at all. By the time I got to the shelter, I was very thin, my
fur was all horribly matted, I was losing some of my hair, my eyes
were all irritated and I had problems with my teeth (I broke my front
teeth off by chewing on my cage trying to get out of that awful
situation). I didn't feel well at all. The people at the shelter
thought the best thing to do would be to put me to sleep, but I really
didn't want to just "go to sleep" - I wanted to be happy.
Then the people at Sweet Binks came in and rescued
me, and the people at 3 Bunnies gave me a place to stay. The
first thing they did was take me to the doctor and treated me for
mites, filed down my teeth, and treated my eyes. I feel so much
better now. They're waiting to see if my front teeth grow back
properly, or if they have to be removed. Sigh. If only my people had
taken better care of me.
Now that I'm getting lots of TLC from my caretakers, I'm really
starting to blossom - I'm affectionate and playful, and you can even
hold me and carry me around. And I love when people kiss my fuzzy
face.
So what do you say? You think you might want to give my a loving
forever home?
Thanks for reading!!
Sandi
