Hi, I'm Pumpkin. I'm a beautiful female golden tan NZ mix, approx
6-7 lbs, a little over 1.5 years old. I have had a long haul with
a facial abcess, and almost died, but thanks to the wonderful care
I recieved, and my determination to get a second chance at
life....... YIPEEEE! I'm now healed. I'm a bit standoffish with
people at first (heck with all the poking, surgeries, meds,
etc......, who could blame me. Plus my previous people let their
kids torment me). I'm learning that it is ok to trust people, and
that I really do like their company.
I'm a great "binkier" and love to run and leap in the air! Cats,
dogs.......not a problem! I show them who is boss (Hee Hee) I would
love to have a forever home with lots of TLC.
Thanks for reading!
Pumpkin
Note on Pompkin's medical history:
Miss Pumpkin had an abscess on the side of her face, near her
chin that had to be drained, so she had surgery for that then there were the
months of rehab getting her wound flushed and packed with honey twice daily
along with all of her medications. She wasnt feeling well, so she decided
that she didnt want to eat and had to be force fed. She was ill for about 3
months, and lost alot of weight, we werent sure if she was going to make it,
but she is a fiesty girl and when the vets were ready to quit she just kept
on fighting with me so I kept working with her. She finally started to eat
on her own and had all of her sutures removed and her face healed up. She
has been spayed and is doing well. She loves to run around and do bunny
flips. She chases my 3 cats and beats up my yellow lab. She was tormented by
children at her last home so she is a little iffy with people at first and
after all of her adventures with her illness she isnt sure what to think
when people come near her. She is getting more friendly but it is taking
time. She is about 1 1/2 years old. She is ok with other animals, but is not
sure what to make of my male rabbit she had fun chasing him and pulling his
fur out.
