• It is with a heavy heart that we report that Blinkers passed away early Friday (6/15/07) morning. Blinkers became full blown symptomatic E. cuniculi / Pasteurella. Her companion Southpaw stayed by her side, even in death. Southpaw is doing ok, though clearly he misses his Blinkers. We hope to find him a new mate.

• Blinkers has been at the hospital. We noticed a more pronounced "crooked" look to the side of her face. No teeth problems and no mouth polyp, but Blinkers has some facial paralysis, causing a "droop" and she is unable to fully close her right eye. Similar to Bells Palsy in humans. Blood work is also being done. She and Southpaw are glad to be back "home"!!
