Adopted January 29, 2006 by Ross (Happy Anniversary)
Hi everyone, I'm George (with the chocolate brown coat), and
this is my girlfriend Gracie (with the silver coat and soft
luxurious locks). We are two very large Angora French Lops, and we
are only 5 months old but we already weigh 8-10 pounds each.
Would you believe we were almost snake food??? Yes, that's right -
someone was going to feed us to their boa constrictor. We were so
scared, and so sad... our family didn't want us any more, and they
were going to let us die a horrible death just so they didn't have to
take care of us any more. Thankfully, someone rescued us and brought
us to a shelter, and now we are in 3 Bunnies foster care.
Phew!!
The nice people here think were so beautiful, and that we're pure gems
- they tell us that all the time, and we're beginning to believe them.
We are both total mushballs. I'm very happy-go-lucky, and
Gracie has a bit of a girlie-girl personality. At first we
were very shy and withdrawn (you would be too, if you were about to be
fed to a snake), but since we got into foster care, we've really come
out of our shells. We run to the front of our ex-pen whenever someone
walks into the room, and we love to put our faces right up to the side
and have our big noses rubbed. YAY!!
And when we are let out for our playtime, the fun really begins. We
love to run all over the place, chase each other around, and explore
every nook and cranny we can find (you never know where some yummies
might be hiding). We also love to relax together, laying side by side
with our feet kicked straight out. Life is good now. We're still
working on our litterbox habits, and we're getting better every day.
We didn't get much of a chance to work on it in our last home, but now
we can.
Gracie and I are really hoping there's a family out there that
will give us a nice loving forever home and never think about letting
us be someone's dinner. We don't like that idea. We don't like that
idea one bit. Please remember, though, that since we're both
angoras, we need daily grooming to keep our coats looking and feeling
their best, and to keep us healthy.
Thanks for reading!!
George and Gracie
