About Us

3 Bunnies Rabbit Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit organization dependent on donations to help us rescue unwanted domestic rabbits and educate the public on rabbit care. We are a network of foster homes located in New England and New York.

The primary goals of 3 Bunnies are:

  • To rescue abandoned, unwanted, and abused rabbits without prejudice to age, gender, breed, type, or other issues; to provide foster care; to spay and neuter; to provide medical and rehabilitative care; to find permanent quality indoor homes for them;
  • To educate the public and assist humane societies, animal control officers, and other rescues, in teaching proper rabbit care to the public;
  • To reduce, primarily by public education, the number of rabbits abandoned at shelters and / or turned loose when no longer wanted.

Dempsey - A handsome brown Agouti Flemish mix approx 1-2yrs old and 8lbs. This wonderful bun came into a CT ACO shelter and was then taken into 3 Bunnies Rabbit Rescue. Howdy. I'm a nice guy who enjoys being part of the family. I enjoy attention and I will let you hold me, but I really like it better if you just hang out with me on my level.

This wonderful NZ/Californian mix male is approx 10-12lbs and 1+ yr old.

Howdy all, my name is Punk & I am ready to find my forever home. I am such a big love and just like hanging out with people. I'm fine with gentle cats & dogs, in fact my foster mom says I act more like a dog at times. I do terrific binkys and "bunny flops". Ok, I admit it, I do spend a good part of the day perfecting my napping skills. I am a great hay eater & very good with my litterbox. A wonderful New Zealand/Silver mix 7 months old and approx 8lbs (and still growing). Fribble was going to be euthanized but a kind person intervened and saved him. An adorable Dwarf/Florida White mix male, 1-2 years old. Templeton is such a lovable guy. He likes being held, but enjoys running around kicking up his heels until he is exhausted & needs to rest in your lap. Templeton is fine with gentle dogs (he climbs all over his foster parents' dogs) & cats would be ok. He might be a good bonding candidate. Update: 3/6/2012:
3 Bunnies would like to thank everyone for their support while Othello battled through his abcsess operations. He is now completely healed and ready to find his forever home. This handsome Rex boy is still playful & full of energy. He adores body rubs!! However, Othello is not for first time rabbit people. He needs a more rabbit experienced home because he thinks he is the boss. Othello does not mind being near other buns, but does not want a bondmate. He is a super bun! Read more & see more images...

This outgoing young adult male New Zealand mix is approx 7+ lbs. He was found as a stray in CT. Hello. I am a social guy who enjoys hanging out with people. I like attention, but I do have an independent side. Lets just say I can act a bit "adolescent" at times, but hey, I'm young, handsome and full of life, so who can blame me. I do not mind being held, however I do prefer ground level. Nice cats & dogs may be ok with me. How about giving me a chance to "liven up" your home, please consider adopting me. A big gentle young adult Palomino/NZ mix male. Puppy was surrendered as a stray to an area vet hospital. He was treated for parasites & given plenty of good food to help him gain much needed weight. Now healthy, Puppy is looking for his forever home. He is a sweet boy, but still on the timid side. He loves jumping in his haybox & doing bunny flops. He may be a good bonding candidate. An adorable little Dwarf male 2-3lbs and approx 4yrs old. Peanut was found as a stray and brought to a CT shelter. It was noted that he had a bad eye and several ticks were removed from him. Also the shelter found a puncture wound to his neck. Due to the seriousness of the eye, 3 Bunnies was contacted and Peanut was taken into our care. Read more & see more images...
