Update October 1, 2007:
Flower has been doing well, and we are also monitoring her
molars. She is still sensitive in her neck area (we think she at least
endured a couple of years of being carried and pulled by her scruff)
and the emotional trauma she suffered, may never heal, but her foster
mom and dad and giving her lots of TLC!
Hi, I'm Flower
I'm a brown Agouti Mini Lop, approx 6lbs, and 4 yrs old. I have been
passed around to four different homes in my 4yrs. I have spent most of
that time in a cage, with the last couple of homes thinking the proper
way to handle me was to pull me by my scruff, and hold me up that way.
At first when approached by people, I was scared and would cringe when
being handled, but I have realized that I'm not going to be picked up
by my scruff anymore, so I'm much better. I still need some time and
patience, but I now enjoy running around and have taken to lying all
stretched out for a nice snooze. In fact my foster mom found me
lounging on the window sill! (hey, if cats can do it, why can't I). I
must admit, I'm starting to show that wonderful Diva "lop-a-tude", but
hey, I'm gorgeous, so who can blame me.
NOTE: Flower came in to 3 Bunnies along with Josie from PA. Flower was
underweight, traumatized and it was discovered in need of major
dental. She had to have her incisors removed.
Thanks for reading!!
Flower
