Update: August 11, 2005: We ended Dutchess's suffering this
afternoon. Xray showed things had gone from bad to worse. She is now
at peace across the Rainbow Bridge, and can help others that pass over
feel safe and loved. Farewell Sweet Dutchess.
Update: August 10, 2005: We are very saddened to say that
unforeseen complications arose during Dutchesses spay, and she is now
in a battle to survive. Our vet and 3 Bunnies is doing everything
possible to help her pull through. Please send your positive thoughts
and support to Dutchess
A stunning orange colored mini lop, 2yrs old,
6-6.5lbs.
Dutchess is so sweet and gentle. She adores face rubs and
kisses and does not mind being held. Dutchess will come right up to
you looking for attention, and also to see if she can assist you in
your daily routine (yes, you can learn to do things with a "mushy" bun
attached to your leg!)
What we know about her history is that she was taken from an
abusive situation by a boy in 4-H (who decided to have rabbits as one
of his 4-H "projects", then wanted to move on to goats, so he needed
to get rid of the rabbits, UGH!!), sold to a family looking for
rabbits, then when they no longer had time for Dutchess, she came to be in 3
Bunnies care.
Dutchess is a wonderful bun, despite her history. When she looks
at you with those big soft eyes, and lets you kiss her little heart
shaped lips, you just melt!!
