Bigelow

Adopted May 16, 2005 by Michael and Barb.
Bigelow was an example of what happens when people get a rabbit on a
whim - they knew nothing about taking care of him and he came into the
shelter underfed, abused and atrophied, where he was to be euthanized.
3 Bunnies took him in and we're happy to report that he now has his
forever home.
Bigelow is a sweet, shy, mellow guy. He loves his out time wandering
around checking things out including visiting the dog in his foster
home. He likes to be pet. He does not like to be held, but most
rabbits don't. He would most likely make a good bonding partner for a
sweet girl. He looks dashing in his jet black fur and his mysterious
striking dark eyes. His eyes are not red. Camera did that. This
beautiful rabbit was surrendered twice at a shelter thru no fault of
his own before coming to 3 Bunnies Rabbit Rescue.
Many adopters are
not educated when adopting rabbits and then give them up when the
rabbit is not what they expected. In Bigelow's past he was not given
proper food, thus he is a bit underweight. He was also not given
enough exercise out time. Most bunnies including Bigelow are not lap
bunnies as a previous adopter expected of him. So you see Bigelow has
been tossed around because his human adopters were not educated enough
to understand bunnies and the care they need. Bigelow is looking for
his forever home as he flourishes in his foster home.
He likes to be pet and loves hanging out with his foster family around
the house. Bigelow is a wonderful free range bunny. If you have a home
where a bun can hang out around the house with you, Bigelow would be a
great candidate. He does not like being caged and is a great free run
bunny. Bigelow does great binkies when he is happy running around free
range. He gets along with the dog and cat in foster care. Bigelow was
saved from being euthanized at a shelter.
