About Us

3 Bunnies Rabbit Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit organization dependent on donations to help us rescue unwanted domestic rabbits and educate the public on rabbit care. We are a network of foster homes located in New England and New York.

The primary goals of 3 Bunnies are:

  • To rescue abandoned, unwanted, and abused rabbits without prejudice to age, gender, breed, type, or other issues; to provide foster care; to spay and neuter; to provide medical and rehabilitative care; to find permanent quality indoor homes for them;
  • To educate the public and assist humane societies, animal control officers, and other rescues, in teaching proper rabbit care to the public;
  • To reduce, primarily by public education, the number of rabbits abandoned at shelters and / or turned loose when no longer wanted.

This sweetheart is a silver/brown flecked Dwarf mix under 1 year of age and approx 3lbs. Rocky was found as a stray in CT. Hi there, I'm Rocky. I am a very active little guy who loves to run and "zoom" around. My favorite thing is attention! I will stand on my tip toes and stretch way up for face rubs and kisses when my foster mom walks by. Templeton was a stray that a group of kids were throwing stones at, until a kind person stopped them and grabbed Templeton and brought him to safety at a veterinary clinic. I haven't had it that easy, as my people tired of me and stuck me outdoors where I would go without food or water, but I am a happy guy now. Miracle & Barley

Earlier this year we took in a stray, Barley, that was dumped by the ide of a field. Two young boys witnessed a group of kids throwing rocks at Barley and they quickly intervened and brought him to the local wildlife facility. 3 Bunnies was contacted, and into our care he came. Scared and thin, but friendly, Barley was given vet care and plenty of TLC. Miracle, who herself was going through rehab, showed great interest in Barley, and he in her, so how could we deny true love! They bonded instantly and together, became healthy and happy. Hello, We are Ms. Phipps and Mr. Pimms, a brother/sister pair. We are angora/English spotted mix , however I, Ms. Phipps) got the angora and my brother Mr. Pimms apparently got the English spotted. Our first few years were not very fun, we were left outside in a wire cage with little food. Some were taken in by a CT shelter, and the others by a person who works with the shelter. Very scared and shy at first, Finn has quickly started to relax and seek out attention. This adorable baby girl, approx 8-10 weeks old, is a brownish grey Flemish/NZ mix. Sage is part of numerous rabbits dumped in a Newington CT neighborhood. 3 Bunnies volunteers were able to catch six of the rabbits, and evidence was found that several had been killed by wild animals. Spirit

This big sweet baby is one of three surviving rabbits recently found at the Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull CT. The Trumbull ACO was called to the park where 10 dead rabbits were found strewn about. After retrieving all the dead bodies, and returning to the shelter, the ACO was called back to the park, where Spirit was found alive. Read more & see more images...
